What's a shoot like?
01 Upon arrival, I will give you some of my ideas based on the venue (outdoor sunsets, bridges, indoor lighting, etc.). I will also show you some example photos from both my collection as well as other photographers to get a better idea of your styling expectations.
02 Once we are ready to go, I will work out real scenarios with you. For example, if we choose to shoot at a playground, we will not stand in-front of a slide & smile. Instead, mom & dad can catch their children coming down a slide.
03 As we go along, you may hear minor directions from me. I don't do a ton of posing however, sometimes the elements are so perfect that if I move, we may miss the lighting so in those instances, I may position you. I will say it again & again, you will rarely hear me say "look at the camera".
04 Lastly, time will fly by! If you book an hour, expect it to feel like 10 minutes. The key to this success is all about us having fun, trying angles you never thought about, & picking the right location for your shoot!
Fun Facts about Ace
Where did "Ace" Come from? Ace originated back from my middle school days. I was the child that could play any sport, learn any subject, or participate in any event without much issue. I often excelled at many things that I tried & one day, a classmate named Aaron called me "Ace". It's been Ace ever since!
Where are you from? If you know me, you know I am extremely fast paced & always on the go. Everything needs to be done quickly & we don't have time to wait. This comes from being born & raised in Boston Massachusetts. There is nothing slow about living in Boston. I now call Florida home & have since 2009.
What do you like about photography? I can't say enough about photography without being cliche. Photography takes me to another place. It brings me together with people I otherwise never would have met. I live in paradise. Photography is what got me outside to see my first sunrise. Photography is sharing with you, what I see. No single person is the same & I truly believe neither is our vision. Photography is the one way I can capture who I am with a magical machine that simply freezes that time.
What do you dislike about photography? The only negative in photography is the photography community itself. I wish that more photographers were less worried about their money & more focused on pushing the art to the next level. It's extremely rare to find a photographer that is willing to share their knowledge. Although youtube appears to be full of them, it's more about working with your local community to collaborate on shots & locations. I think if I keep sharing my knowledge & passion, I can convince more people to pick up a camera & see the world through a viewfinder. It's life changing.
